About
Beth Beckett, RD, CSO, LD, is one of the dietitians at the Helen G. Nassif Community Cancer Center. She graduated from Truman State University with a degree in Nutrition. Beth is board certified by the The Commission on Dietetic Registration.
Beth chose to become a dietitian because she always had an interest in wellness and nutrition. She was fascinated with food labels as a kid, and wanted a career that would focus on health and working with people. Some of her interests as a dietitian include oncology nutrition, preventive health and the impact of the microbiome on health.
Beth is motivated each day knowing she can make a difference in how someone feels. When asked what qualities best describe her care she said, “I try to listen to a patients individual needs and goals and support those goals with encouragement and education.”
Her message to patients is, “Believe in yourself and the importance of making small changes, put yourself first sometimes without feeling guilty and invest in your health as it is irreplaceable.”
In her free time Beth enjoys traveling, gardening, and spending time with her family.
