About
Elizabeth Heineman, BSN, RN, is one of the Clinical Research Nurses at the Helen G. Nassif Community Cancer Center.
Elizabeth chose to become a Clinical Research Nurse because she “finds satisfaction in learning new things and the interactions that occur within the body are amazing to learn.” “We’ve all had personal experiences with cancer and it’s a subject close to my heart,” she says.
When asked what motivates her each day Elizabeth said, “I want to see outcomes improve for oncology patients, and the work I do is important to me.”
Elizabeth’s message to patients is, “A cancer diagnosis shouldn’t have to take over your life. I want to positively impact patients’ lives with fewer treatment side effects, more targeted therapies and earlier detection.”
In her free time Elizabeth enjoys reading and spending time at home with her husband and three kids.
