Throughout the month of February we have been sharing with you some lifestyle changes to help prevent cancer. Here’s a comprehensive checklist to help track your changes.
Exercise
- Aim for two and a half hours of moderate aerobic physical activity each week
- Incorporate some form of strength training into your routine twice a week
- Try a new exercise every week to keep things fresh
- Join one of our group exercise classes
- Set short term and long-term goals

Diet/Nutrition

- Control your portion sizes
- Eat a healthier protein like fish instead of processed meat
- Eat more fruits, vegetables and whole grains
- Drink water instead of soda or sports drinks
- Limit your alcohol consumption
- Consider trying a new way of eating, like the Mediterranean diet
