Betsy Tibodeau, LMT, is a licensed massage therapist at the Helen G. Nassif Community Cancer Center.
Betsy completed her education at the Salon Professional Academy. She chose to become a licensed massage therapist because “it is extremely rewarding, and I love the calm and relaxing environment I get to work in.” Betsy describes the care she provides as adaptive, compassionate and confident with the use of a variety of modalities. “My goal is for clients to feel relaxed and comfortable, to communicate with me if they feel the pressure is not working for them, so I can adjust and modify to suit their needs.”
A major clinical interest of Betsy’s is relieving tension in the neck. “Many people suffer with neck pain due to working on their computers all day or being on their phone too much,” she said.
When asked what motivates her each day, Betsy said, “seeing my clients smiling, friendly faces! I like knowing I am making their day a little brighter and helping them with their overall wellness.”
Betsy’s message to patients is, “I am here to help – open and honest communication between us will be the best way to effectively achieve the desired outcome from the massage session.”
In her free time Betsy enjoys exercising, music, watching movies, hiking being with family and playing with her two mini-schnauzers.
