About
Sahith Reddy Thotamgari, MD, is a cardio-oncologist at UnityPoint Health – St. Luke’s Heart Care Clinic and is a practicing physician at the Community Cancer Center.
He graduated from medical school at Osmania Medical College in Hyderabad, India, and completed his internship, residency and fellowship at Louisiana State University Health in Shreveport, Louisiana. Dr. Thotamgari is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Echocardiography.
As a cardio-oncologist, Dr. Thotamgari is passionate about supporting patients with cancer who may experience cardiovascular effects from their cancer treatment.
When asked what patients should know about his practice, he said “I believe good medicine combines clinical expertise with compassion. I strive to stay current in cardio-oncology while providing personalized care and maintaining clear communication with patients and the entire care team.”
Outside of medicine, Dr. Thotamgari enjoys traveling, exploring new places and cuisines, and spending time with family and friends. He also stays active through tennis, basketball and cricket, and is passionate about landscape photography. He loves to cook, especially Indian food.
Dr. Thotamgari is part of our Commission on Cancer (CoC) accreditation.
