Meditation/Breath Techniques for Stress Management

Each Wednesday, join us for either Meditation or Breath Techniques for Stress Management. We will alternate these classes on the following schedule:

  • Meditation: First and third Wednesdays of the month
  • Breath Techniques: Second and fourth Wednesdays of the month
    • If there is a fifth Wednesday in a month, the class will be Breath Techniques

About Meditation

Meditation is a way to calm your nervous system and release stress. Research shows this can help your health and wellbeing.

About Breath Techniques for Stress Management

Breathing has been used for centuries as a marker of our nervous system.  In this class, we use breath to steer our nervous system back to center.  Some of us need a way to slow down or calm down.  Some of us would like a little more pep in our step. Special breathing techniques can take us from dysregulation to regulation when practiced safely. Join Sayde Alexandrescu, MSYT, MSES, exercise program specialist with the Nassif Community Cancer Center, as she shares the many ways to breathe, with a new practice introduced each week.  This class is available to drop-in, so come every week or when your schedule allows.
